Art From Home - Maratha and Pichwai Paintings

The City Palace Museum, Udaipur joined in collaboration with the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and the Museum Society of Mumbai, for a two day workshop titled 'Art From Home - Maratha and Pichwai Paintings'. The workshop was held on 27th and 28th June 2020, on Zoom.

Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator, facilitated the workshop on behalf of the Museum, and presented on the Art of Pichwai Paintings, renowned in Rajasthan, particularly in the Nathdhwara region. The session was followed by a practical hands-on session with the artist, Mr. Rajaram Sharma, who was assisted by his son, Mr. Rajat Sharma.

Ms. Santos was felicitated with dual certification for being a part of the Organizing Committee, and being a resource person and facilitator for the workshop.

Post the session, an e-booklet of the workshop was released as a participant's reference pack.

3D Guided Walkthrough of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur

On the occasion of International Museums Day, 18th May 2020, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, along with several Indian Museums, collaborated with The ArtX Company for a 'Ghar se Museum' event, as part of its digital venture. The 3D walkthrough of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur held on 17th May 2020 was led by Dr. Shikha Jain, ConsultantMMCF, Director, Dronah, and coordinated by Ms. Chelsea Santos. The session was held on Zoom, and live-streamed on Facebook.
