Udaipur Foundation Day On the 26th April 2020 the Foundation Day of Udaipur was celebrated by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation by organizing an online sketching competition on Eternal Mewar social media pages. The theme of the competition was to draw a monument of Udaipur. The initiative got good response. Maharana Pratap Jayanti The 480th birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap was celebrated by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation on 25th May 2020. A poem series was published on Eternal Mewar Page. Painting on the life of Maharana Pratap by Artists Mandeep Sharma and Sandeep Sharma were published on social media pages. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee, MMCF with Miss. Mohlakshika Kumari Mewar paid tribute to Maharana Pratap at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur. |
Posts on various historic pages and book publishers like Amar Chitra katha and Jaggernaut were published on social media pages. E-Conference on 'Archaeology from Home - Connecting Thoughts and Things' Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur was invited for the online conference titled 'Archaeology from Home - Connecting Thoughts and Things' from 22nd to 27th June 2020, to share his expertise on Mewar history, having been associated with The City Palace Museum, Udaipur for several years. The Conference was organized by Sharma Centre for Heritage Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Dr. Seth presented his research on the 'Lithic Artefacts from South Rajasthan', in this conference. International Webinar on 'Heritage Management in a Covid and Post-Covid World Assistant Curator, Ms. Chelsea Santos represented The City Palace Museum, Udaipur at this webinar, during the course of which she traced the Museum's digital journey during and post Pandemic, as part of her take on 'Heritage Management in a Covid and Post Covid World'. The webinar was organized by the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, St. Xavier's College, in joint collaboration with the Museum Society of Mumbai, and the Archaeological Survey of India, Mumbai Circle, on 5th - 6th- June 2020, on Zoom. |
