Exhibition on Lt. Col. James Tod

On January 6th, 2018, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur organized an exhibition at Mor Chowk with reference to Lt. Col. James Tod, who was a British political agent of erstwhile western Rajput states. This was to mark 200 years of the signing of the treaty of mutual friendship between Maharana Bhim Singh (r. 1778-1828) and the East India Company on 13th January, 1818. The exhibition continued till 30th January.

Initiating painting conservation at the conservation lab

Conservation of works on paper was started at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur's conservation lab. Two historic paintings from the collection of the Museum were brought into the lab in order to be examined under microscopes. Treatment of these paintings will be undertaken to ensure their stability and longevity.

Restoration work of North East corner of Lakshmi Chowk Zenana Mahal

The restoration work of NE area of Lakshmi Chowk at Zenana Mahal that started in June 2017 is under process. In the month of November the ghutai work has almost reached the final stage of commencement.
