Exhibition on Lt. Col. James Tod On January 6th, 2018, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur organized an exhibition at Mor Chowk with reference to Lt. Col. James Tod, who was a British political agent of erstwhile western Rajput states. This was to mark 200 years of the signing of the treaty of mutual friendship between Maharana Bhim Singh (r. 1778-1828) and the East India Company on 13th January, 1818. The exhibition continued till 30th January.
Initiating painting conservation at the conservation lab Conservation of works on paper was started at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur's conservation lab. Two historic paintings from the collection of the Museum were brought into the lab in order to be examined under microscopes. Treatment of these paintings will be undertaken to ensure their stability and longevity.
