Sursagar, is a compilation of poetry by Surdas, (fl. 16th century, probably in Braj, India; traditionally b. 1483-d. 1563), a blind Indian devotional poet known for lyrics addressed especially to Lord Krishna that are usually considered to be the finest expressions of Brajbhasa, one of Hindi's two principal literary dialects. The lecture was attended by Smt. Vijayraj Kumari Mewar, Mrs. Nivritti Kumari Mewar, staff members of MMCF, Directors from various Universities, artists, scholars and the subject enthusiasts.

Dakhan: An International Seminar on Indian Miniature Painting

Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Assistant Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur attended and represented MMCF at Dakhan: An International Seminar on Indian Miniature Painting, organized by the Jagdish and Kamla Mittal Museum of Indian Art, Hyderabad from 11th to 13th January, 2018. Eminent scholars from various institutions and museums worldwide presented their papers on lesser-known painters and lesser-known centres of Indian miniature painting.

Heritage Conservation and Promotion

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk was an initiative by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur with the support from Udaipur Municipal Corporation. MMCF in its Outreach Programmes has encouraged many such events.

As per the ongoing initiatives the 'Ahar' Udaipur Heritage Walk was organised on 13th January 2018. MMCF's goal is to be a world leader in heritage conservation and community inclusion. The Foundation often has to generate it sown benchmarks for this goal. MMCF is keen to share its best - practice and conservation experience that has an ambitious knowledge transfer initiative in addition to its implementable conservation programme.
