The Museum Opening

On 29th June 2020, the Museum opened itself to its staff and visitors, after a lockdown period of over 100 days. To reinstate that all safety measures have been taken care of, for the visitors, and to chalk out pre-requisites expected out of visitors, such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, etc., the following posts were made.

The month of Shravan is considered as one of the holiest months in the year as per the Hindu calendar. It is the fifth month in the hindu calander. The Shravan month is synonymous with auspicious festivals and events. It is the best time to conduct all important religious ceremonies, as almost all days in this month are auspicious for good start. This month is ruled by Lord Shiva, and Shree Eklingnath ji being the ruling deity of Mewar has its unique importance. As of Covid the devotees where not permitted to offer prayers at Parmeshwaraji Maharaj Shree Eklingnath ji at Kailashpuri, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation is sharing with the devotees the archival paintings of all the Sukhiya Somvaars according to the Nitya Pranalika of Shree Eklingnathji on every Monday of the auspicious month ('Sukhiya Somvaars')

Vanmahotsav Week, 1st to 7th July 2020

Vanmahotsav is an annual pan-Indian, week-long tree planting festival. During this event millions of trees are planted. The festival was initiated in 1950 by K. M. Munshi, the then Union Minister for Agriculture and Food to create an enthusiasm in the mind of the populace for the conservation of forests and planting of trees. In order to celebrate and encourage the audiences to go green, the Museum shared details of a miniature painting from its collection, with small but simple messages for the audience to incorporate, irrespective of age.
