Mewar Festival celebrates the arrival of spring in 2014
The District Administration, Udaipur and The Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan organised a cultural evening from 2nd to 3rd April 2014 at Gangaur Ghat, Udaipur. The event was supported by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. The Mewar Festival celebrated the arrival of spring with a competition for the best dressed couple wearing traditional Rajasthani clothes with other events.

Guide Orientation Programmes
MMCF organised a series of Guide orientation programmes between the 18th April to 23rd May at the MMCF Conference Hall, COMPO, The City Palace, Udaipur. The programme is a step towards fulfilling MMCF's objective to create awareness and educate the local guides in the palace premises about the history of Mewar and topics related to Environment conservation.
Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran, Associate Professor and Ex. Head, Business Administration, University college of Commerce and Management Studies, MLSU, Udaipur presented a case study on LIVING HERITAGE OF ETERNAL MEWAR: A LEADERSHIP BEYOND TIME, attended by 33 guides. This case study was first presented by her at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA and was supported by MMCF.

On 25th April, Mr. J.S. Kharkawal, Associate Professor in Archaeology in JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Udaipur briefed on the archaeological details of Mewar. The session was attended by 36 guides.

Visit of Research Scholar: Mr. Micaël Henriques Lopes
Mr. Micaël Henriques Lopes, Swiss Federal institute of technology of Lausanne (EPFL) from Switzerland was in Udaipur from 1st March to 19th April 2014 on internship. He was working on the panels for the architecture and conservation gallery based at Zenana Mahal, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. Mr. Lopes is being mentored by Dronah, Gurgaon which is running a project in the City Palace Museum, Udaipur. Mr. Lopes finished his internship after 5 months in India at Udaipur. He also assisted in various ongoing works in the City Palace such as the Sculpture Gallery and the Textiles and Costumes Gallery.
