National Crafts Museum Hosts Launch of "Shwet Shyam" Exhibition in New Delhi

The grand inaugural ceremony of "Shwet Shyam, East India's Krishna Bhakti: A Textural Tale of Devotion" was recently celebrated at the prestigious National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 27th April 2026,. Presented by the textile brand Tantavyaa-a dedicated CSR initiative of RSB Global and the RSP Foundation the landmark five-day exhibition ran from April 28 to May 2, 2026. The high-profile event was graced by, Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, alongside Mrs. Nivritti Kumari Mewar, who attended as the primary guests of honor. Joining the royal couple was Union Minister of Education, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, who emphasized the government's strong support for the rural revival of extinct Indian handlooms.

Curated masterfully by Ms. Neha Verma (Abharan Foundation) and artist Mr. Pankaj, with foundational support from Ms. Priyanka Behera (RSB Global Group), the visual showcase beautifully traced the spirit of Krishna Bhakti across Eastern India. The display brought together exquisite regional textiles, drapes, handlooms, and embroideries unique to Odisha, West Bengal, and Assam. Highlighting rare weaving techniques like innovative khadi-jute blends, the exhibition seamlessly traced historic design connections across the courts of Avadh and Kolkata to the roots of North-Eastern devotion

A special literary milestone also marked the opening segment, featuring the official unveiling of the Gujarati translation of the new book, "Adventures of a Travelling Monk". The entire initiative beautifully championed Tantavyaa's core foundational pillars: Sankirtan (devotional music), Shashaktikaran (artisan empowerment), and Swadhinman (self-reliance).
