The Royal Chair

The Royal Chair dating to c. 1911, was intrinsically connected with the city of Delhi. The chair connotes stories of power and pride. Commissioned for the Delhi Durbar of 1911, with exquisitely carved details in wood, sporting the insignia of Mewar, and the typical lion-headed armrest, it was reserved exclusively for Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur (r. 1884 - 1930 CE).

The Royal Asiatic Society, London, UK commissioned a limited edition re-issue of Lt. Col. James Tod’s Annals and Antiquities of Rajasthan, with a new Companion Volume by Dr. Norbert Peabody to commemorate its bicentenary. The book launch ceremony held at the Brunei Gallery, SOAS, London where Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur was the Chief Guest.
 
MMCF Unveils 2024 Calendar Honoring a Century of Automotive Legacy
