Anniversary Celebration of Maharanas

The 255th Birth Anniversary of Maharana Bheem Singh was celebrated on 14th March 2023 by Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation. This is according to the Chaitra Krishna Saptami 1824 (Gregorian calendar 1768 CE). He was the 67th Ekling Diwan of Mewar. Maharana's personality was soft-spoken, cheerful, kind, gentle, popular, humble, forgiving and extremely liberal. Colonel Todd told that he was a very good advisor, a man of wisdom and judgment. Maharana was the patron of poets and scholars and also had good knowledge of history. At the city palace museum a lamp was lit along with chanting of prayers, his portrait was garlanded and his historical information was displayed for the visiting tourists.

The 464th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Maharana Amar Singh I was celebrated on 28th March 2023 by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar dated Chaitra Shukla Saptami 1616 (Gregorian calendar 1559 CE). He was the 55th Ekaling Diwan of Mewar. Maharana often fought with the Mughals to protect his independence and never accepted their submission. Colonel Tod described Maharana Amar Singh as a worthy descendant of Maharana Pratap and Mewar clan. Maharana was strong and mighty. Because of his virtues, he was very justice-loving among his Sardars and subjects.At the city palace museum a lamp was lit along with chanting of prayers, his portrait was garlanded and his historical information was displayed for the visiting tourists.

The 331st Birth Anniversary of Maharana Sangram Singh II was celebrated on 11th April 2023 by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. This is according to the Vaishakh Krishna Shashti 1747 (Gregorian calendar 1690 CE).

He was the 61st Ekling Diwan of Mewar. The coronation of Maharana V.S. 1767 was on Jyestha Vadi Panchami. Maharana Sangram Singh II got Tripolia built in the palace of Udaipur. The Maharana got many well-known constructions done like the palace in Nahar Magre, the Chinese painting gallery in the palaces of Udaipur, the palace and Darikhana in Jagmandir, the huge canopy on the cremation ground of his father Maharana Amar Singh Ji II in Mahasatyaji,Saheliyon ki Bari etc. Maharana got the famous Sheetla Mataji temple of Udaipur constructed and a huge temple of Vaidyanath Mahadev in Sisarma village, west of Pichhola pond.
