The City Palace Preface
|
|
Rai Angan is the earliest Royal courtyard of The City Palace, Udaipur. It
was built by Maharana Udai Singh II (r.1536-1572 CE) in the 16th
century. Rai Angan is on the second floor where Maharana Udai Singh
started building the Palace on the top of the hill in 1559 after the
foundation of the city of Udaipur was laid in 1553 on advise of
Goswami Prem Giriji Maharaj.

Exhibition opening - Saleh Khana

A soft opening of the much awaited Saleh Khana arms exhibition was undertaken on 16th January 2023, as per the prescribed auspicious time. The exhibition features some never seen before arms and armour from the collection of the Museum.

7th Guinness World Record
|
|
Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation registered his name in the Guinness Book of World Records for the 7th time, in which he has sown 21058 seeds in 40 minutes.
