Who made Amar Mahal and when was it made?

It was built by Maharana Amar Singh (r. 1597-1620 CE) in the early 17th century.

Why was Toran Pol made?

It is a wooden structure, which is hanged from the front side of the Pol where the royal bridegroom will touch it with his sword before entering the bride's house "The Zenana Courtyard" on his wedding evening. This gate was primarily used for the entry in Moti Chowk, Mardana Mahal on the North and Zenana Mahal on the South.

Why was Amar Mahal Constructed?

Amar Mahal was built in the early 17th century exists in its original form, after the Mewar - Mughal treaty when Maharana Amar Singh I (r. 1597-1620 CE) moved back to Udaipur. This is three storied structure with an interesting juxtaposition of domes adding to the skyline. The interior and exterior of Amar Mahal resonates with the architectural vocabulary of the earlier Palaces at Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh.

Medical Assistance

The MMCF has provided medical assistance to Mr. Surya Dev Singh, Lucknow to attend his medical treatment. Further medical aid was provided to Mr. R.K. Shetty, Udaipur.

Charitable Dispensary and Medical Aid

Medical Aid is an important activity of the MMCF. MMCF runs a charitable dispensary, which operates all year round. The Staff's yearly medical checkups are also organized by the Foundation. Citizens of the region can apply to it for medical benefits and assistance. It aims to provide free medical advice and medicines to the needy that are unable to pay for medical treatment.

A total number of 1537 patients were treated in the month of March 2022- June 2022.

Visit of Students from Sahitya Sansthan

A group of Masters and Diploma students in Archaeology, from Sahitya Sansthan, Udaipur were benefited with a complimentary visit of the City Palace Museum, Udaipur on 12th March 2022. Dr. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary, MMCF and Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur briefed them about the history of the Palace and importance of the collection and galleries.

A group of 40 students with faculties from Government Secondary School, Guda, Pali visited The City Palace, Udaipur on 14th March 2022. The visit was supported by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation.
