Visit of students from Rajasthan Baal Kalyan Samiti A group of 45 students and staff members from Rajasthan Baal Kalyan Samiti visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on 12 January 2019. MMCF supported their visit. Previously also MMCF have donated study table, White and Green Boards. Workshop on XRF Analysis of materials for Art and Archaeology A hands-on workshop on XRF Analysis of materials for Art and Archaeology was jointly organised by the Aga Khan Trust and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya on 31st January 2019 at Aga Khan Trust for Culture, New Delhi. XRF is a process that enables material identification of artefacts. Mr Michele Gironda from Bruker Nano, GmbH, Germany led the workshop, providing a live demonstration of the workings of the latest portable XRF Elio with different types of materials. The results were subsequently analysed. The workshop pooled together conservators, curators, students and experts from the field of art and archaeology; each of whom were asked to carry samples for the material identification. Mr Rajiv. 'Dakhan - International Seminar on Indian Sculptures' The Jagdish and Kamla Mittal Museum of Art, Hyderabad organized 'Dakhan - International Seminar on Indian Sculptures' from 10-12 January, 2019 at Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad. Dr. Naman Ahuja, Balan Nambiar, SV Padigar, Kirit Mankodi, Gautam Sengupta Ramanath Mishra, Amy Poster, Christian Luczanits and Jagdish Mittal etc. were the speakers in the Seminar. More than 80 participants attended the Seminar from all over the world. Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur represented MMCF in the Seminar. |
