The 4th World Living Heritage Festival at The City Palace, Udaipur, October 17-20, 2018
The City of Udaipur witnessed the 4th World Living Heritage Festival at The City Palace, Udaipur from October 17th to 20th, 2018 which bought together a spectrum of artistes and academicians, activists and student-delegates from India and overseas.
 
 
Documentation of murals in Chitram Ki Burj
Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has commissioned a detailed documentation of the murals in Chitram Ki Burj, a small room in the Mardana Mahal of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. It is believed that a majority of the wall paintings date back to Maharana Bhim Singh (r. 1778-1828 CE). Court scenes, festivals, processions, boat rides and various scenes from the streets of the city are depicted in these murals.
 
Gaurav Gatha Maharana Raj Singh Ki - a tale of valour and diplomacy

The 389th birth anniversary of Maharana Raj Singh (1629-1680) was celebrated with great enthusiasm, pomp and show in The City Palace, Udaipur. On this occasion the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation organized exhibitions and also a performance of the play "Gaurav Gatha Maharana Raj Singh Ki" at The City Palace.
 
 
Opening of 'Mewar Photographs, 1857-1947: A Glimpse Into The Archive'

The Photograph Exhibition titled 'Mewar Photographs, 1857-1947: A Glimpse Into The Archive', was opened to its visitors on 18th October 2018. The visitors to The City Palace Museum, Udaipur can now treat themselves to rare, vintage photographs of yesteryear Mewar. The exhibition will be on display till 31st March 2019.
