The exhibition depicts the process and progress of the
formation of Rajasthan in six extensive panels placed at the
Zenana Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur.
Shri Bundu Khan and group of 9 artists presented traditional
Rajasthani folk song, Sufi. Bundu Khan is one of the best
singers of a traditional folk singing group of Sarangiya
Langas, who live in western Rajasthan. Sindhi Sarangi is the
traditional instrument of
this group. Bundu with a
fabled voice is one of the
prominent singers of the
Langa community.
Gair dance was
performed by Shri Paras
Mal Mali and group of 12
artists. Gair Dance is
performed by men in
Western Rajasthan in
Holi Festival, This is one
of the few performances
where both men and
women dance together.
