Mr. Karni Singh Jasol, Director, Mehrangarh Museum, Jodhpur visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on 19th April 2017, as a committee member for inspection of work carried out and in progress regarding MOC Grant given by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Administrative in Chief, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation and Ms. Neeraja Poddar, Curator, The City Palace Museum, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation briefed with the details of the work.

Maharana Mewar Special Library Conservation and Restoration

Books and Manuscripts conservation and restoration work is in progress with the consultation of Mr. Giri Kumar, Art Conservator, MMCF. In the process a list of all the books and manuscript were prepared that need to be conserved and restored. These include all those with broken sewing, loose or detached boards. Then these books were re packed in Acid free mount board on both side and tied them up with cotton flat string. At present 294 Accession nos has been completed.
