Interactive seminar on International Human Rights day

An interactive seminar on International Human Rights day was organized by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur with the Theme: Forget the second World Story (Woman should not be considered passive, incapable and out of the world of heights and possibilities, being a woman cannot make her submissive) at IPM Theatre, Department of Entomology, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur.

There was a panel discussion on the topic, Moderator was Prof. Rajeshwari Narendran, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur with panelists including Mr. K.S. Money, IAS(Retd.), Ms. Harsha Singh, NDTV- Rajasthan, Jaipur and Ms. Runa Mitra, Founder of People Talent International, New Delhi. Welcome address was presented by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Administrator in Chief, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation.

Launching The Palace Calendar themed on 'The Virtues of the Mewar Sisodia family'

Shriji unveiled the Palace Calendar 2017 at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur. The theme of the 2017 calendar is the virtues of the Mewar Sisodia family. There are ten acceptable norms for the descendants of the Mewar Sisodia family of Udaipur.

They are as follows:

  • The family deity is Shree Eklingnath ji.
  • Guru, the spiritual guide is Maharishi Harit Rashi.
  • Family Goddess is Shree Ban Mata ji.
  • The sacred thread they wear has three knots.
  • Their 'Veda' is Yajur Veda
  • They are rulers of Medpat now Mewar.
  • The head of the Mewar family is Bappa Rawal.
  • They are protectors of cows and Brahmins.
  • Their 'Gotra' is Vajvapayan.
  • Their ancestral Kingdom is Chittor.

The calendar showcases the painting of each norm. The calendar also showcased Supreme Lord of Mewar - Shree Eklingnathji, Founder of Mewar Dynasty - Bappa Rawal and Guru Maharishi Harit Rashi.
