Shriji hosted tea at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur for Mr. Rajendra Naidu, Mrs. Swarna Naidu, Ms. Bhavna Naidu and Ms. Ganishtha Naidu.

Mr. Rajendra Naidu is the son of famous cricketer Late Mr. Arjun Naidu who joined M.K. Bhagwat Singh ji for Ranji Trophy Cricket Team in Udaipur in 1939. Mr. Naidu was put up by The Palace at Fateh Memorial in Room Number 5 overlooking Surajpole. He played one unofficial Test Match and Ranji Trophy for Holkar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajputana and Rajasthan. Mr. Arjun Naidu passed away on 14th Nov 2000 at Udaipur. Thereafter the family moved to Bangalore. Mr. Arjun Naidu served at the Palace, Udaipur for 61 glorious years and is still revered by all. God bless his family.

Discussing Rajasthan's development as the state steps into a new era

Shriji hosted a cocktail for Hon Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, his wife Ms. Stavroula Raptis and son Master Thomas Hamilton-Smith on his visit to Udaipur at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur.

Hon Martin Hamilton-Smith MP is presently the Minister for Investment and Trade, Minister for Small Business, Minister for Defence Industries, Minister for Veterans' Affairs for the State of South Australia as advised by Ms. Delia Jackson, Personal Assistant to Hon Martin Hamilton-Smith MP.

During his visit he discussed the new era of Rajasthan's development which will be driven by several associations and the signing of sister – state agreement between South Australia and Rajasthan held on 19-20 November 2015 at Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit, the two-day summit, organised by the Government of Rajasthan in association with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), witnessed commitments from Japan, Singapore, South Australia, Italy and other countries to make investments across various sectors in India.

The sister-state relationship is based on a two-way exchange of research, policy and technical capabilities to boost export and investment opportunities between the two states. The agreement provides partnership and collaborative opportunities across key sectors where South Australian business will offer services and product support.

His visit to India and then Udaipur, Rajasthan is in continuation with the objective of culminating new opportunities for exporters, to encourage new ideas and relationships, which will lead to investment and job creation.

He mentioned to Shriji that “The South Australian Government wants to establish partnerships and collaborations in Rajasthan that will mutually benefit both regions,". They would very much like to explore working closely with the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation in the State of Rajasthan to share knowledge, exchange ideas and to produce economic prosperity.
