The 3rd World Living Heritage Festival in Udaipur

(Music and Dance Performances, Art & Craft Exhibitions, International Conference, and Field Visits leading up to Eternal Mewar Festival of Holika Dahan)
The 3rd World Living Heritage Festival was organised in the picturesque City Palace of Udaipur. The five day-long Festival was organised by the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Udaipur, and was supported by UNESCO New Delhi Office and DRONAH Foundation, Gurgaon. Chateau de Chambord, France; School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal; and Indian Heritage Cities Network – Foundation lent their support to the Festival. It witnessed the collaboration and participation of several renowned global, national and state-level organizations for the 3rd International Conference on Living Heritage, art and craft exhibitions, music concerts culminating with the Eternal Mewar Festival of Holika Dahan.

Inauguration of Rang - Celebrating the tones and hues of our 'Living Heritage'
Rang - the art and crafts exhibition was inaugurated by the gracious Mr. Vinay Sheel Oberoi, IAS, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The event marked the opening of the Festival at the historic Zenana Mahal of The City Palace. Rang witnessed the participation of master-craftsmen and artists from the All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA), New Delhi, besides NGOs from Rajasthan and Gujarat. Leading exponents of Phad painting and Tarkashi work from Rajasthan displayed their works.
