Rajasthan Day Celebration

On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, MMCF organised folk dance and music at Baadi Mahal in one part of the Museum and a puppet show which was a big attraction for the children at the Zenana Mahal. Turban tying was a great attraction for the international guests.

INTACH Heritage Management training programme

As part of the INTACH Heritage Management 3 day training programme from March 30- April 1, the case study of City Palace Udaipur - Conservation and Management was presented by Dr. Shikha Jain, Project Coordinator Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, City palace Udaipur. The presentation showed exemplary initiatives undertaken by foundations such as MMCF in preserving their heritagethrough their own resources, fundraising and professionalism which provides a good learning for heritage sites across India. The workshop was attended by diverse group of national and international participants from the field of art; restoration; conservation etc.

Supporting Alakh Nayan Mandir, Udaipur

MMCF, Udaipur is supporting the entire development of 'Free Patients' Ward' at Alakh Nayan Mandir, Eye Institute, Pratap Nagar Extension, Airport Road, Udaipur, Rajasthan, an integral part of Alakh Nayan Mandir, Ashok Nagar, Durga Nursery Road, Udaipur. This ward is spread over at 1st floor in 2,500 sq ft with 48 beds, nursing care station and examination room.

 

Alakh Nayan Mandir, Udaipur, Rajasthan is a public charitable trust and a well-known name in the field of eye care services which established in 1997 to fulfill the objectives to provide eye care of paramount quality to all segments of society, especially socially backward and deprived section of the society; to provide free or subsidized treatment to those who cannot afford it; to propagate the concept of 'Quality' Eye Care amongst professionals; to render outreach ophthalmic services in remote villages and to contribute for the success of National Program for Control of Blindness.

The institute has an unwavering commitment towards quality services both in the teaching-training programs and eye care service delivery, imbibed with staunch community orientation having a philanthropic and spiritual base, which consistently derives inspiration from Her Holiness Mahatma Bhuri Bai 'Alakh'. The vision statement of the Eye Institute is to provide quality eye care for all on a sustainable basis, irrespective of socio-economic status and to make the region free of curable eye problems. They are coming up with World Class Eye Centre which is keen on deploying international standards, spur efficiency, improve patient safety & satisfaction and ensure resource optimization to lower costs, at Pratap Nagar Extension, Airport Road, Udaipur. This institute, functional from 17 March 2016 and when fully functional, will become a hub for quality care and treatment of various eye diseases in Rajasthan and its neighboring states at an affordable cost.

Alakh Nayan Mandir has done over 74000 operations in which 60% are absolutely free for economically and socially under privileged and marginalized society, mainly comprising of tribals; over 7.13 lakhs treatments in which 40% free; 2600 Eye Checkup camps in and around nearby areas of Udaipur with a mission of Blindness Prevention and Slight Restoration.
