Painting Exhibition “Three Generations”

A painting exhibition “Three Generations” curated by artist Mr. Akash Choyal was exhibited at Chhota Darikhana, Ganesh Chowk, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur.

Mr. Akash Choyal, the young artist of Udaipur has presented a combined collection of his grandfather Late P.N Choyal and father Mr. Shail Choyal's artwork.

Mr. Akash Choyal's Peculiar logic to alter his motifs exquisitely in an anti-natural sense combines his objects in an unexpected manner. In this exhibition he employs computer generated techniques to create his 3D imagery along with his automatism that gives birth to unprecedented stories and surreal illustrations. In major, Akash explores fiberglass relief structures and amalgamates his surfaces with intuitive, imaginative and mystique drawings using a wiry miniature brush.

Late P.N. Choyal was a celebrated senior contemporary artist from Udaipur who was awarded the prestigious National Award by Lalit Kala Akademi in 1988 and was a recipient of Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academi award 6 times in his life. He was also honoured with the title of 'Kala Ratna' in 2007 by Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi.

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation in support of art and culture and to help artists from Udaipur provided the facilities of exhibition hall and other required amenities.

The City Palace Museum, Udaipur
Adhering to the ancient Vedic principles of architecture, the pooja of Kalash atop of Mardana Mahal, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur was performed. Prayers and rituals were performed by the priests. The Kalash is said to be a symbol of the entire universe because of its uniformity and symmetry in all directions. It is also referred to as a harbinger of creativity and peace. Through the medium of the kalash we are made aware of and blessed by all the gods in one place, at one time and in one symbol.
