Maharaj Sahib Dr. Pushpendra Singh ji Ranawat of Karjali called on Shriji at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur and presented him with his book 'Geoheritage of Udaipur Region -the Mewad of Yore, Rajasthan, India'.

According to Dr. P.S. Ranawat, Former Professor of Geology, University Department of Geology, MLSU “The Geoheritage of Mewad (esokM+, we have used this spelling in keeping with the modern trend of correcting the poetic spellings of the local terms, Odisha for Orissa for example) has been world renowned for centuries; and to achieve the present-day objective of Government of India namely advancement of the cause of Geosciences by including creation and management of Monuments and Parks for use of the public, students, and researchers, and future generations. The purpose is to popularize geosciences for public.”

The 168+4 page book is printed on quality art paper as it has 219 colour images; the text is in a simple English language sans technical terminology, a few of which are explained in the Glossary. The book gives in-depth knowledge of the metallic, non-metallic and building material resources of this region.
