Guide Orientation Programmes

MMCF has been organising the Guide Orientation Programmes from many years. The guide orientation programme is a step towards fulfilling the MMCF's objective to create awareness and educate the guides at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, about the history of Mewar and other topics relating to environment conservation. This year on the occasion of 'World Heritage Day -2015' MMCF organised its first Guide Orientation Program on 18th April. There will be 6 series of Guide Orientation Programmes between the 18th April 2015 to 23rd May 2015 at the MMCF Conference Hall, COMPO, The City Palace, Udaipur. 22 Guides and 10 staff members of MMCF attended the day's programme that was presided over by Mr. Harishchandra Sharma with a Lecture on "Sant Baoji Chatur Singhji and his contribution to Mewar".

On April 25, 2015 Mr. Shyam Sunder Bhatt delivered an enlightening talk on 'Bappa Rawal and Harit Rashi', their relationship and appointment of Bappa Rawal as a Dewan of Eklingji, second part of the Guide Orientation Programme. 31 guides attended the orientation progamme.

Celebrating 'Udaipur Sthapna Diwas'

Nearly 452 years ago Maharana Udai Singh founded the city of lakes – Udaipur, and made it the capital of Kingdom of Mewar. Time passed, Mewar has seen its empire flourishing, succeeding and trampling every milestone. Udaipur Sthapana Diwas is celebrated as a day when Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh. At The City Palace Museum a flower decorated garlanded bust of Maharana Udai Singh was placed on the table in the center of Rai Angan.

Pooja Ceremony was initiated at the shrine of Shreenathji at Laxmi Chowk, Zenana Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur. The pooja rituals were performed as per the auspicious muhrat.
