Delegation of International Exhibition titled 'Circle of Kings: Art and Identity in Rajasthan (1911-1562)' at The City Palace, Udaipur

The delegation from the International Exhibition titled 'Circle of Kings: Art and Identity in Rajasthan (1911-1562)' at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, USA in the year 2017 visited Udaipur for a presentation for the participation of The City Palace Museum, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Udaipur art-works for the proposed International Exhibition.

The delegation included Mr. Gary Tinterow, Director, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, USA; Mr. Michael E. Shapiro, Director of the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia, USA; Mr. David Brenneman, Director of Collections and Exhibitions, High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia, USA; Ms. Deborah L. Roldán, Assistant Director – Exhibitions, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, USA; Ms. Mahrukh Tarapore, International Relation Consultant - Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and Trustee, Mehrangarh Museum Trust, Jodhpur; Mr. Martand Singh, Trustee Mehrangarh Museum, Jodhpur; Mr. Karni Singh Jasol, Director, Mehrangarh Museum, Jodhpur and Ms. Deepika Ahlawat, Co - Curator, Circle of Kings Exhibition.

The delegation briefed with their presentation at Onyx Meeting Room, Fateh Prakash Palace Convention Centre, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur. MMCF was represented by Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation; Dr. Shikha Jain, Principal Coordinator, MMCF; Mr. S. Girikumar, Art Conservator, MMCF; Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Administration in Chief, MMCF; Ms. Jyoti Jasol, GM – Events, Eternal Mewar; Dr. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary MMCF- Development; Mr. Rajnish Porwal, Deputy Director – Administration, The City Palace Museum, MMCF and Mr. Prashant Lohar, Archive and Conservation Assistant, MMCF.

Later on the delegation visited Mardana Mahal and The Zenana Mahal at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur that was followed by lunch at The Palki Khana, Manek Chowk, The City Palace, Udaipur.
