'Sankalp', a first-of-its kind social convention by IIT Roorkee

It was held between 29th and 30th March 2014. SANKALP was founded with an aim to provide a national platform to bright minds to discuss the issues related to the present social conditions prevailing in the country. It intends to mobilise nation's youth into a cult of progressive citizens, and inculcate in them a proclivity for social service.

On invitation from SANKALP'14 for an exhibition/workshop during the event, DRONAH Foundation, Gurgaon exhibited their ongoing project - The City Palace Museum Project, Udaipur, for Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF).

This exhibition also complemented the association as IIT Roorkee was involved in preparing the Photogrammetry Report for the City Palace, Udaipur in past under the guidance of Dr. Kamal Jain, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee during the course of the same project that was also presented in the event. The exhibition was appreciated and taken well by the students and academicians, especially from the Departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering and other experts who visited the convention.
