The Chief Guest was Brig. Vijay Mehta (Seva Medal Commander 30 Infantry Brigade). The event began by raising the national flag followed by an inspection of the squads, March Past and Cultural Programme. Students presented Orchestra (Raga Hansa Dhwani), Group Song, “Aikla Chalo” and Group Dance” Sapna Dekha Hai Maine”. The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech when he applauded the students' effort. He spoke about the need for passion and commitment as well as “using initiative” when choosing a career. Mr. Sanjay Dutta(Principal, MMEI) presented a memento to the Chief Guest. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
