1. Shriji hosted cocktails at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur for Mrs. Leila Armanazi, Lebanon; Mrs. Violette Omari, Lebanon; Mrs. Lynna Kalo, Lebanon; Ms. Sudha Dubash, Mumbai; Mrs. Maha Sukkarieh, Lebanon; Mrs. Hyat Sanbar, Lebanon and Ms. Gabriella Lavezzo, London.

Thursday 13th December,

1. On the 13th December, Shriji celebrated his 68th birthday at Shambhu Niwas Palace in The City Palace, Udaipur. In keeping with time-honoured tradition this stately function was attended by a cross section of society, which included family members, as well as staff from both the corporate and philanthropic divisions of Shriji's corporate enterprises. In celebrating another milestone, Shriji unveiled the Palace Calendar for 2013. The birthday festivities began in the morning with Shriji receiving Aaska (blessings) from the shrine of Shree Eklingnath ji as well as blessings from other respected temple Pandits within the greater Udaipur region. Shriji then received greetings and Nazrana from friends and relatives. Amongst those gathered to wish Shriji were the

Umraos and Thakurs of Mewar, eminent personalities of Udaipur, industrialists, administrative and police officials, journalists, advocates, several club officials and employees of the palace as well as visitors and tourists. Shriji was felicitated with bouquets, gifts and cards. Shiv Niwas Palace presented Shriji with a cake made to replicate 1924 RR GLK 21 from The Vintage and Classic Car Collection that was winner of The Lucius Beebe Trophy at the 62nd edition of the Concours d’Elegance 2012 at Pebble Beach, California, USA. Live music from the Palace band, shehnai and nagada provided a tranquil ambience to this joyful occasion. All guests at the palace were treated to traditional delicacies.

In the evening, the celebrations continued at The Zenana Mahal, The City Palace from the ladies Nazrana followed by cocktails. Manganiasr singer Gazi Khan entertained guests. Celebrations concluded with dinner for family and friends, hosted by Shriji.
