New Year's Eve Celebration

On the 31st December HRH Group of Hotels organised a colourful programme to welcome in the New Year of 2013 at The Zenana Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur; Shikarbadi Hotel, Udaipur; Gorbandh Palace, Jaisalmer; The Aodhi, Kumbhalgarh; Fateh Bagh, Ranakpur and Gajner Palace, Gajner, Bikaner also hosted events to celebrate the New Year. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Smt. Vijayraj Kumari Mewar of Udaipur, Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Dr. Kush Singh Parmar of Santrampur, Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar, Miss. Lokaviaa Mewar Rathore and Miss. Bhuvika Mewar Rathore joined guests at The Zenana Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur.

The evening started with cocktails followed by dinner and dancing setting a festive mood for guests. An impressive firework display heralded in the New Year at midnight.

VIP Visits

Visit of Professor David Wilkins and family

On the 26th December Prof. David Wilkins, Law and Faculty Director, Harvard Law School, Cambridge MA, USA accompanied by his wife Mrs. Ann Marie C. Wilkins and son Brian visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur where he was greeted by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Deputy Secretary MMCF – Administration, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. In the museum visitor’s book Professor Wilkins wrote “A truly spectacular experience! Thank you so much for preserving this majestic palace for the world”

Visit of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chattisgarh, Dr. Raman Singh

On the 31st December Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chattisgarh, Dr. Raman Singh accompanied by his family visited The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur and The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. Mr. Mayank Gupta Deputy Secretary – Development, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation greeted the minister. In the museum visitor’s book The Chief Minister wrote “The whole experience of grandeur, fort, crystal gallery, planning and architecture was awe-inspiring. The presence of a very charming and humorous guide added to the experience. To visualize the original grandeur, life and times of this fort gave us a good insight into the history Udaipur and The Royal Lineage”

Felicitation of Staff

An exemplary example of honesty -

Mr. Tulsi Ram, Project Staff and Mr. Rajesh Kumar, House Keeping Utility Attendant were recently felicitated for their honesty for retrieving and returning a diamond bracelet lost at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur.

Members of the Royal Family from Saudi Arabia, were on a visit to Udaipur and invited for tea by Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur at Shambu Niwas Palace, Udaipur at 6.30 pm on the 29th Dec 2012. One of the guests from the Saudi Royal Family accidently dropped a diamond bracelet during the course of the evening.
