Beaconsfield High school UK visit Udaipur
As part of a three week expedition to Rajasthan and Ladakh, two groups of school children accompanied by their teachers from Beaconsfield High School visited Udaipur on the 11th and 15th July 2008. HRH Group of Hotels organized a boat ride from Lake Pichola to the Palace island of Jagmandir where they met Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur.

Swaranjali 2008 – Guru Purnima, a celebration at Shri Eklingji temple
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, an exclusive programme of Hindustani Classical Music - "Swaranjali" was organised by Shri Eklingji Trust on the 18th July 2008 at Shri Eklingji Temple, Kailashpuri. In keeping with tradition selected classical musicians were cordially invited to perform. Their musical praise and worship of Lord Shiva reverberated through the sacred temple.
The programme took place in the morning and again in the evening. Eminent artists, Ms. Sanya Patankar (Pune), Mr Dhananjay Pandit, Mr Suyog Pandlekar, Mr Narendra Nath Dhar, Mr Arun Bhatt, Ms Bhoomika Dwivedi (Udaipur), Mr Narendra Kumar Byawat (Udaipur), Ms Sharbari Banerjee (Delhi), Mr Dhananjay Pandit, Mr Mukund Pandit, Ms Suman Mukharjee (Jaipur) mesmerized the audience with their vocal (Bhajan) and instrumental performances (sarangi, sitar). Devotees flocked from far and wide to hear the performance.
All the artists were presented Sirpao by the priest in the presence of Maharani Sahiba Vijayaraj Kumari Mewar of Udaipur and Princess Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur.
The deity Shri Eklingnathji was adorned in white with white flowers and ornaments.
Hundreds of devotees were able to partake in a private Darshan. Prayers were offered to Lord Indra at the onset of the monsoon season.
